"Moon Wiring Club convene their AGM 2014 in the haunted fairground of 'Leporine Pleasure Gardens'. In time honored Gecophonic tradition, this ambient/collage LP version is totally different to the rhythm-driven CD edition in all but mantle, instead emulating a curiously distanced, detached perspective on the same scenes of a Victorian/Edwardian attraction experienced under hallucinogenic influence - whether consciously or not. Beats are pretty much replaced with a sepia-toned, crackling patina of voices woven in and out of the ambient fabric, lending the A-side in particular a tipsy, dreamy, stumbling sense of motion through its elaborate narration to replicate the feeling of "drowsy summer games on the lawn" with a surreal subtext of its own waiting to be deciphered. The B-side however is much more spacious, drifting and tonal, a red-lipped slur of of evening restaurant music and moments snuck behind the waterfall grotto, gently recalling the oily, abstracted erotica of Oren Ambarchi and Crys Cole's 'Sonja Henies Vei 31' as much as the melancholic pangs of Leyland Kirby at his most eldritch. Coupled with the extremely detailed artwork, it's just the ticket for daydreaming bedsit dwellers and dilapidated aristocrats alike."
